I absolutley LOVED watching conference this weekend! Saturday was awesome, I felt that they talked a lot on Service, and A lot about what we believe, which is great for all the Media Checking out Mitt Romney! I loved to hear Sister Beck talk about Mothers, and how our children can really learn so much from our own homes. What a priviledge it is to be a Mother!
I have just had such an amazing feeling all weekend, I am so grateful for the Testimony that i have of the Gospel, I remember my grandma Bagley always telling us that we are "RICH",
"Rich in the Gospel of Jesus Christ"!
And i Feel "Rich"! I love this Gospel with all my Heart, & i love Pres. Hinckley! What a blessing it is to be a member of this Wonderful Church!
I asked Boston what he liked best about Conference, and he said "they talked alot about the Articles of Faith" and he said "mom, i want to shake all the apostles hands, cause i love them all so much, but i really want to HUG Pres. Hinckley"
I said..."So do i" We just love him to pieces and hope he will be around for a while longer!

ReplyDeleteI liked when Sister Beck complimented women "who don't try to have it all." That made me feel good because sometimes I get sad that I didn't try to do law school, be an attorney and gracefully raise a family...I know it wouldn't have worked the way I wanted it to so its nice to have someone tell you that you did the right thing even though I know I did. Anyway, I have never done a triathalon-I want to-but I HAVE done the Catalina marathon and it was the hands down hardest thing I have ever done. It was like running up Mount Timpanogos three times in the rain and mud. I would not reccomend it to anyone...but maybe the triathalon will be different. So good luck!

ReplyDeleteLoved conference, too - LOVE having a great spiritual best friend like you! Sis Becks talk was great. Lots of talks brought things back to very basic wonderful principles. None of our achievements in life will mean a thing if our children are not armed with the armor of God in this - the Fullness of Times - full of light and darkness. Doesn't it just make you want to love and hold your kids just a little tighter and a little longer?!
ReplyDeleteThat Boston is a great kid! I actually felt the same way--like I wanted to give Pres. H. a big hug. I also oved seeing the photo of him tapping Pres. Eyring on the head with his cane --so cute!

ReplyDeleteI totally agree and feel so lucky to be a member of the church. I think we are so blessed to be women living today with the gospel. Can you imagine life without the knowledge that we have of the gospel? I can't and know that I am "rich." Thanks for your comment. You are such an amazing person and I'm so glad to know you.
ReplyDeleteShannon, you're just way too cute! I LOVE conference weekend too. It just feels like a vacation almost, to sit with the family & forget other things going on & get totally lost in it! Saturday after conference we watched The Work and the Glory to keep the feeling going. Great Weekend!
