Spring break {Utah style}

We stayed home this year for Spring Break because we just returned from our 

awesome trip to Arizona the previous week.  It was just starting to warm up here in Utah

so it ended up being so fun.

We went to movies, ate out, played with friends, went to the Zoo 

{along with everyone else in Utah}, Color Me Mine,  etc... 

We also dog sat for the Carson's

while they were in california.  My kids LOVE max and loved taking care of him.

it was lots of work, but we have now decided that we would love a small

dog when we get one. haha!

We loved "Color me mine"  and it was so fun to see how creative my kids can be. I 

had no idea of their hidden talents.  {ok i helped out with ivy's},  Boston got super

into it and made the coolest AF bowl for breakfast, olivia made a cute plate and

hayes painted a fish. {he didn't really love to paint}  but everyone else LOVED it.

We love the alpine park with tennis courts and splash pad.  It was the first warm day

 so we were excited to get out and play.  We went with friends and played tennis 

and had a picnic.  

then of course we had to hit up our favorite "Sammy's burgers" in the new Cedar hills golf club.

spring break!

We headed to Las Vegas for some Sunshine!!  it was fabulous weather for the first few

 days then as we were heading to California for my nephew's farewell it 

got cold and stormy. boo!

we went with the Carson's and enjoyed the fabulous pool at Tahiti Village Resort!  

awesome kid friendly resort with plenty of kids activities and it was just off the strip! 

 The pool had a sandy beach area along with a lazy river! it was so perfect!

they had some fun poolside activites and contests for the kids.  

Hayes did the hula hoop contest! haha

one day we went and had a girl day with shopping and pedicures.  

 after our pedicures we went to eat brunch at "Hash House a Go Go" it's one of the famous 

stops of Man vs. Food!  the portions of food were ginormous and 

TO DIE FOR delicious!!

while we were shopping in Vegas they had this darling playground where the

 kids wanted to stay.

on friday we headed to LA to play with the Johnson cousins!

we were hoping to hit the beach in california, but since 

the weather was cold we went to Vasquez Rock instead, played lacrosse, shopped 

around and celebrated Blaker's birthday. So much fun!

tons of movies were filmed here... most recently "John Carter"

Sunday morning was the farewell and then we came back for a delicous brunch.  

 it was fun to visit with blake for a bit more before we headed back to Vegas to stay one

 more day in the HOT sun!  The weather was taking a turn back to 90 degree 

weather so we decided to extend our stay!

we are still here loving every day hanging out at the beach/pool {or both} taking in some serious sun and playing with our  best friends! 

The granums met us at the airport with homeade lei's.  They were so cute.  

We have been having a blast!  It's beautiful and sunny every day.

Jenn and I start off our day with our favorite run EVER!  then we sunscreen up the kids and we are all off to play in the sun.  We went paddle boarding, paddle surfing, and boston is
 loving skimboarding and body boarding. 

olivia and hayes have loved the waterslides at 'the grand wailea' and i am so impressed how awesome they do.  They even jump off the rope swing {without the rope} haha

we've been night swimming, crab hunting and doing some shopping in Laihaina. 

eating at some of our favorite spots, and playing at our favorite beaches.  Yesterday we went to  my favorite beach "big beach" and i love people watching, especially the skim boarders and body boarders.   they are AMAZING! {those pics will come later}

the granum boys are turning into real hawaiian surfers. It's so much fun to watch.

 Ivy loves the ocean so much.  We put her arm floaties on and 

she literally floats out in the ocean with us. I can't believe it.  She's my water baby!
