Our Beloved Prophet...

I knew this day was coming, but you can never prepare yourself for it. When i heard of his passing last night, i had mixed emotions. Sad, because we love him so much and hard to have him gone, but Happy that he gets to reunite with his Darling wife.
What a Beautiful day it must be for him to see her again!
I am so grateful that i got to see him at a General Conference, and enjoy the sweet spirit that was there, while singing "We thank thee O God for a Prophet", that was an amazing experience that i was hoping to take Boston to this coming Spring.

This is the Prophet who i will always Remember, whose words helped me through some of the Hardest times in my life, and who has sculpted me to be the kind of Woman, Wife & Mother that i am! This is the The Prophet who helped me Gain my Testimony, & helped me to become a better person, to him i am forever grateful.
I like to imagine that he is holding my baby boy, if for only a brief moment.

President Gordon B. Hinckley
1910-2008

We also heard of President Hinckley's passing last night. We both said that we are sad for us, but oh so happy for our beloved prophet who missed his sweetheart so much. He never gave up doing the things that Heavenly Father required him to do. I hope to grow up to be just like him!

Thank you for your sweet testimony and thoughts about the prophet. I loved it. He is the cutest thing ever, I also thought of the chance he has to be with Parker, how precious that moment is for both them.

What a wonderful tribute to our prophet. I wish you wrote for the Sacramento Bee ... you're tribute was much more personal! It's weird around here, because all the news stations reported about the passing of "Gordon Hinkley". It just sounds so different without the B! He will truly be missed, but what an amazing impact he made on the world we are growing up in.
