Farewell Football season...

We had a rough start to our football season, but ended up winning in the Mesquite Football Tournament.  The weather was FREEZING, not the usual mesquite weather we 

were looking forward too.  Kids still played in the pool and Hot tub regardless.  

They were troopers at the games{we had all night games} and we 

all Enjoyed watching Boston play Quarterback. 

Boston played Awesome, we had recruited some other boys from the other A team who

weren't going to be playing in the tournament, and that made a world of difference.

it's football time...

This is possibly my favorite time of year... i love fall, everything about it, the pumpkin 

patches, the leaves changing, the beautiful fall mountains, and football season. 

This year Boston tried playing some QB!  He did awesome! He has a great arm 

and his passes are great.  He would rather play running back and middle linebacker.  That boy

loves to hit! ha!  

8th grade football is challenging, you have so many kids who have already grown a ton and some

that are just hitting puberty. It's a huge size difference and a bit challenging.  Our team kind 

of struggled this year, but they still had a fun time.

of course the best part is that the games are on  the High School football fields, which 

is amazing!! one game the announcer was announcing all the plays with the name and you hear

Boston Taylor all the time.  It was so awesome!!!

 plus we have the cutest cheerleaders...

Mesquite

We had an absolute blast at the Football Tournament in Mesquite.  We rented a condo with our friends the Skousens and played games all night and played in the hot tub.  Before our first game which was at 9pm we went bowling with the kids & played in the Arcade.  We won that game and entered into the winners bracket for the following games the next day.

Saturday was beautiful weather and we ended in a WIN!  Boston scored 2 of the 3 touchdowns and 

played awesome.  It was a great way to end the season of football!

for these boys.

Boston had a fabulous football season!  Possibly his best and favorite yet.

They played in the championship game and got 2nd place.  It was a good game and they played in freezing cold temperatures!! Boston scored the first touchdown of the game.

Boston has such fun and darling friends who came to support them on their semi final and championship game.  The stands were full of people!  so much fun!

Flag Football...

This is Hayes' first year playing "Flag Football"  he plays it a ton with the neighborhood 

boys and boston.  It is so fun to see him play on a team with some friends and actually 

really understand some plays.  He LOVES it!  

Our team is actually pretty dang good, we had a last minute coach change and

so we were a little concerned when we started.  Luckily we have a couple 

elite playing kids so we get plenty of touchdowns.

Hayes has played all positions, but so far he loves hiking the ball the best;.

He is seriously such a goofball!  

AF Football!

It's that time of year again!  FOOTBALL Season!  

I love watching my boy play his sport.  He loves this game with a passion and it is

so fun to see him in action.

their very first game they lost, you could imagine how bummed they were.   

But they have been unstoppable ever since.  Winning streak is on!

Boston plays running back and middle line backer {his favorites}   

we always laugh so hard, but theboy can hit HARD!  He plays 7th grade football this 

year so it is a bit tougher and they have some HUGE boys on these teams.  like HUGE!

a couple of his buddies from our neighborhood are all on the same team this year.  

they love it and have a blast together.  

last week at practice he got hit to the ground really hard, total accident. 

 But has been out with a concussion. boo!  

sadly he is the one usually hurting the other kids.  He had to sit out these last 2 games

and it is killing him.  he continues to go to practice, but is ready to play this next week.

just had to wait for his headaches to go away.

2011 year in review...

 January

boston solved the Rubix cube. haha!
the kids got an extra week off school after christmas break because
their school flooded so we had lots of fun with friends and our cousins.
 vibe made it into the semi finals on LIVE TO DANCE!
lots of skiing and sledding and TONS of snow to play in!

           

February

Olivia has her first dance competition of the season with her dance company "boogie babies".

crush party at the Rhodes. husband and i celebrate 15 years of marraige! 

went to LA with my sister to watch my niece

 and all the Vibe dancers on Paula Abduls "Live to Dance" finale!!

  March

lots of dance competitions,  spirit week at school, 

 Idaho cousins and papa joe and grandma marlene come to visit for their spring break!  

6 weeks of "Survival Swimming" for the little ones.

 

 april

{spring break}

We spent 2 weeks with our besties in Hawaii!  pretty much the perfect paradise for

 us and the kids.  I loved getting in some Jenn time!! 

Boston entered in the "state fair" and literally picked 

out of a hat {so kids couldn't argue about their state} Boston Massachusetts!

 how awesome is that?

 Tulip festival, Easter parties and Easter.

my awesome hubby sent me & the kids to disneyland for my Mothers day present!
i got to spend time with my mom, by bff and her mom! it was like the mothers day extravaganza!! 

 we loved playing with granums again and were missing them just 2 weeks
 after seeing them in hawaii! haha

bid farewell to our beloved Rhodes family who moved to Boston! boo.

the girls had an overnighter at the grand america and the kids had their own individual parties.  

we had fun while saying our goodbyes!

the twins run in their first 1 mile race! lots of bike rides, carnivals, taylor family reunion, 

&plenty of pool time... & olivia got to go on the Father/Daughter campout!

lots of mountain biking, cousins coming to visit, Boston starts rugby,
seven peaks waterpark, alpine splash pad,

 4th of july festivities, soccer camp & Boston's 12th Birthday!

august

 We moved to Highland, spent a week in california for my niece's wedding,

played at the beach and disneyland with all the cousins. 

johnson family reunion,  boston finished up a season of rugby,  kids start school. 

end of summer backyard movie theater with all the neighbor kids.

september

  

Little miss turns '3' and wants a tangled party.  

We took Boston to Boston Massachusetts to a Red Sox vs. Yankee game at Fenway park.

   Caveman football is in Full Effect & twins start gymnastics!

got myself a new iphone {early birthday present} introduced myself to instagram.

we spent fall break with our friends the skousen's in Deer Valley! fall biking,

  football playoffs, pumpkin patch,  haunted houses, carving pumpkins, 

Halloween parties,  baking all things pumpkin and Halloween!!

loved having beautiful fall weather for trick or treating!

 We went to arizona for my niece brynn's birthday & baptism, Thanksgiving with the Taylors,

 Lighting of the Riverwoods & a visit with Santa.

buddy the elf came for the month, hayes & olivia turn 7 and had his & her's parties, 

cory turns the big 40 & christmas programs & parties. gingerbread house making,  lots of 

shopping for our fabulous Christmas day!
