Wolf Badge

my little hayesie bugs is moving right along in scouts. He was so excited to pass off his 

Wolf Badge, and get TONS of belt loops and pins.  Soon he turns 9 and moves onto 

bears.  He was more than excited to be getting all these awards.

Day Camp for my little cub!

Hayes was SO excited for his first time at day camp!  Boston was telling him all about 

the BBgun shooting, and Archery!  He couldn't wait to spend the day at camp

Jerimiah Johnson!  He left at 6:30 am with his fellow scouters and had a blast.

he came home with a sling shot and some cool stuff he made. 

love that he had such a great time! 

Space Derby!!

This is possibly one of my most proud momma moments.  We had just returned home from 

our trip to Arizona and the Space Derby was that next day.  We hadn't even started on Hayes'

space ship.   So the morning of Cory told me to call hobby shops and just buy one

that is already made, because he didn't have time either.  NO ONE had one! HA!

My neighbor had a sander {is that what their called?} which i used to make the 

square look round, let hayes paint it and then my neighbors helped

 me put the rest together.  I was so nervous for my cute little hayesie bugs, 

i didn't want his to fall apart for his first ever Derby! 

It was amazing!!  Every heat his space ship was in won!

I loved watching his face light up each time his won! I loved that he took 1st place!

cory said the trick was in the twisting of the rubber bands! {which he did}

Scout camp

This was Boston's first year of Scout camp! yikes!  

he had so much fun with 14 other boys!  They passed off tons of merit badges that he said took

a lot of work, especially Orienteering.  I can't wait to go to the court of honor to

 see what all he achieved.

I was a bit nervous for him, since one of the nights he had to do is survival night.  make 

their own hut to sleep in and sleep all night in it. 

cory went up to help out on friday night so that helped me feel a ton better.

i love that he had so much fun, but he did say he got a little homesick.

when he got home, ivy started crying when she saw him because she missed him so much.

he's an awesome big brother!

scout winter campout!

Boston went on his very first Scout campout!  yikes!!  

he had so much fun! they had to snowshoe into their campground,

 and after they set up their tents and campsite they went sledding well they

 called it "redneck sledding" and he said it was crazy!!  

maybe i don't like to hear about the crazy stuff they do!

waiting for all the boys to arrive so they can pack up.  

"School's Out" neighborhood party...

our neighbors do an annual 'schools out' party starting right when they get out at 11!!  

my little kids even wore their swimsuit under their clothes so they would be ready

 right when they got home. we ate lots of hot dogs, chips etc...

i love how olivia and her cousin lucy always have to match and love to
 share eachothers clothes, their kinda like sistas! haha

ivy was so so excited and played so cute on the little kids waterslides.
she really liked pouring her drinking water in the kiddie pool.

hayes was busy running amuck with his cousins carson and camden!
boston liked dunking the kids in the dunking tank.

boston was also packing and excited to go on his real overnight 'scout campout'.  

they left at 4 and went up american fork canyon!

their troop made tie dyed shirts and a totally awesome handmade flag for their campout.

their leaders truly and honestly make scouting so incredible!  

we love our scout leaders!

then lots of outside playing in the neighborhood.

Tenderfoot

My handsome Boston is moving right along in scouts.
He just recieved his "tenderfoot"

 and in a few more weeks he will get his "first class" ranking.  

Yes, people... i am a fan of the scouting program.  

Mostly because our ward rocks it!

Scouts...

Tonight at Pack Meeting Boston got His Wolf Badge! They had everyone meet up at Vivian Park for a Campfire and S'mores, and to Honor Brother Clegg {Who is an Unbelievable Scout Master} in his Retirement of Scout master!
Nana & Papa came to see Boston get all his Arrows and Wolf Badge, and afterwards, Fishing!

We have been so spoiled to have this man as our Leader. He started the Tiger cub den when Boston was 7 and he taught the boys so much at such a young age about Scouting.

Papa hooked Boston up with his Gear and Thank goodness, cause i was Struggling.

~ Today was also Bostons last day of School! He had his Field day today and had an absolute Blast!

He raced kids in his class and Placed 2nd and then 4th place overall with all the 2nd Graders. He was pretty excited about it.

Camp "JEREMIAH JOHNSON"

Boston went to his very first time at Scout Camp! They left at 6:45 this morning and have been there all day. They did all sorts of Sweet stuff, like Archery, Sling Shots, tied knots, and he even won the BB gun contest!
He came home with all sorts of Cool,Disgusting stuff . He bought all these Racoon skins and Tails, with claws on them, and a ton of "Jeremiah Johnson" Bracelets if you couldn't tell by his picture!

"TIGER CUB BADGE"

We had a super exciting night with Boston's Pack meeting! It was on Bicycle safety and so they all rode there bikes on an Obstacle course, using there bike rules that they learned, also our Cousins Coop, Cam and Lucy came to see Boston get his Tiger cub Badge!! YAhooo Boston! That was so cool to have his cousins see him get this award. He is now done with Tiger cubs and moves on to be a Wolf in a few weeks!


Then we went to FUDDRUCKERS (Bostons pick) afterwards with Shea and Heather's family. The kids were loving just playing the Arcade games. Now Cooper and Camden are having a sleepover tonight and are going to go with Boston to Swim Team practice and then Out for a fun day with Aunt Shashi! We Love going to Riverside and watching these kids all jump off the Diving boards, its Hilarious!

The PINEWOOD DERBY!!!

We had so much fun tonight at Boston's First EVER Pinewood Derby! He was so excited and his Nana and Papa were there to cheer him on!
He won 1 st place once and tied 1 st place....He won 2nd place 4 times and 3rd place all the other times! It was so fun to see all the kids so pumped when they would place! Way to go TIGER CUBS!! ( I think the Tiger cubs had the best cars, seriously)

We are off tomorrow to Las Vegas again, this time with our kids! We decided we got Ripped off of our Spring Break, due to COLD weather! It's also Jenn's Birthday so we are going with them too!

SCOUTS!

Boston went with Jenn and Chase tonight to Scouts, while Caden came over to Play with Hayes and Olivia! They made Super delicious Pizza's all by themselves! Go BOSTON! (so of course we had to cook it and eat it tonight!) Caden was so cute to the kids, I kept hearing him say "Princess, do you want to play Basketball, or Soccer" and Olivia said "um...Sure Caden"
He was reading them books and playing so cute with them. Hayes was so excited, he just kept following him around and saying "Cay Cay"!
Hayes' new thing is pushing or hitting Olivia and then he knows he is in trouble, so he just puts himself in the Corner! It's Hilarious!



I must say that i did shed a Tear tonight watching the Results show on American Idol! I think Haley is so Cute, Obviously not the Best singer, but she got so much better with each performance and she is a great Performer!

Oh and Boston just informed me that he Voted For SANJAYA! Ugh....

Tonight for Boston's Scouts, They all went to the Fire Station! They got to see the Whole Tour and Climb into the Trucks. He asked alot of Great Questions, and then got to see the Boys in Action, when they got a Call right at the end of our Visit!
They thought that was so cool!




We are Close to leaving... Just some last minute packing tonight for Cory and I.
Tomorrow Boston has a "Thanksgiving Day" Play that he is in. He is a Pilgrim and has all of his Parts Memorized! (another thing I had to do)Then We will check him out and off to the Airport we go! YIPEE... actually that will NOT be the Fun Part to our Vacation.... With "2" Babies on a Plane for 4 1/2 hours!

Pack Meeting!

Last night we had Pack meeting for Scouts! Boston got his Baseball & Soccer belt loop & Pin, his Bean Museum Patch and some Beads to put on his Tiger paw.
He got a whole lot of stuff and it was so fun to watch.
All the kids made their own ships and traveled around to alot of countries and they learned about the Culture and the Food and stuff. They loved it , it was actually very Educational for me too. We had a great time.

"THE BLACK PEARL"!

This is the Ship I was talking about! You can't see it very good but their are cannon's on the Bottom ,and Will Turner hanging on the Rope! Cory and Boston spent all weekend on it. It's such a cool Pack meeting this month, they all made their own ships and of Course Boston picked the "Black Pearl". Then they go to different countries and learn about the culture and try new food. Boston is so excited.
He is getting alot of awards this month too. He is just loving Scouts!

Boston has one more Baseball game, He played Tonight and lost, but had a Great Hit. He Plays again this weekend. He has become a good little Baseball player, and he loves it.

Today is Boston's best buddy Chase's Birthday! He is now 7 yrs old!
They had the Cub scout Pack meeting tonight also, Which Chase is now a TIGER CUB!
Boston got Belt loops and Pins for Baseball, Swimming, & Soccer. He also got the Bobcat badge, and a pin that he got to Pin onto me! Very Cool night for these boys, We have a fabulous scout leader and makes it so great for these kids to be so involved.
We don't have the Pinewood Derby until March and Boston is already Sketching out his Cars.......He has like 12 sketches and they are all really cool, thanks to his Dad!

After the Pack meeting we went to Chase's for Cake and Ice cream & Video Games!
Now we are having Major meltdowns & Spaz attacks in this household, I better go and Help Cory out!

Boston's first day of Scouts!

Isn't he so cute! Boston just started Scouts today, Our stake does the Tiger cubs who have just turned "7". We had a pack meeting tonight and they introduced Boston to everyone and they gave him the "Raindrop Clap". He was of course so shy, and very excited, & just a Grinnin from ear to ear. It was very fun to watch him. We have an amazing Scout Master, Who seems to have it quite Organized and gets you so excited about Scouts! It was quite the night! Then We ate Happy Sumo at the Morton's which just topped off the night. (Never Eat Sushi and then go running and Jump Rope!) GOOD WORKOUT Caryn-thanks for the Burn.
