last moments of summer break...

We have had the best summer! I never want it to end, but love having a schedule
and normal bedtime routines! ha!

We had back to school this week as well, kids got the teachers that they wanted, and
were so excited.
we all picked something we wanted to do the last week of summer.
We hiked to "Bridal Veil Falls" with the skousens, swam at Alpine Country Club,
went on bike rides, river rafting, outdoor movie night with the neighbors, and plenty more...

We had an amazing summer!

Ivy started jumping off of the diving board and doing cannon balls.
She has become such a great little swimmer!

Floating down the Provo River... absolutley gorgeous!!

"Nana's Camp"  with papa's pancakes in the morning.  Kids had a blast!! perfect end to summer!

Mr & Mrs. Johnson...

It was so weird going to Mesa Arizona and not spend time or stay with our Arizona Taylor
cousins.  They moved to china just a few weeks before the wedding.  We missed them
while eating at our coveted "Tia Rosa" restauraunt.

My nephew Garrett got married in the Mesa Arizona temple in August. Hottest
day and weekend ever! ha!  We all had a fabulous time celebrating their wedding.  Cory and
Boston couldn't come due to football starting. boo!

The reception was Ah-mazing!  The Venue was beautiful and the food and open bar was To. Die. For!
she even had a churro bar! Victoria planned the wedding of the year...
dancing was a hit with my kids, especially with Hayes and Brody. They were so
hilarious.  The johnson cousins tore it up again on the dance floor.  It's
my favorite thing to watch!

my beautiful sistas!!

Blake is serving a mission but we got a picture with him regardless! ha!

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson

Park City!

We love spending the day in Park City riding the Alpine slide & coaster.  We went when
the Granum's were here!  It is seriously so beautiful, i am always amazed at how green and lush it
is in the summer.  Hayes and Olivia were almost tall enough to ride by themselves on the coaster
but they didn't want to on the slide.  Maybe next year.

We ate lunch at our favorite pizza hot spot, 'Main Street Pizza and Pasta' and then went to
the Birchall's to play in their swim spa and party room.  The party kept going all day long!

these two loved going together on both the slide and Coaster.  Boston was a good sport.  Liv is
actually a little adrenaline junkie like him...

Cory & Hayes!

the cutest little bff's ever!

Steel Days carnival and Parade...

my kiddo's love the carnival, who am i kidding, i love it!! We met Shannon and her
kids there too, which was great for Boston who wanted to ride on all the
spinning rides.

We even brought our little sadie {granum's dog that we are dog sitting for 3 months} t
o the carni, which was really interesting.

it was a super hot day so we cooled off with taco amigo's fresh strawberry shakes after.

the following morning was the Parade.  It was so fun and this year they had these awesome
real looking dinosaurs, which were a big hit!

Boston turns "14!"

My handsome boy turned 14!  What a great kid he is, it has been so fun
to watch him grow into this amazing teenager.  He has endless energy {i wonder where he gets that from} and passion for random things, he is witty and smart and i couldn't have asked for a better firstborn!  It is truly such a Joy to be his mother.

He just got his braces off a few days before
and that's what he was most excited for. haha! His birthday was on a Sunday this year.  He
was ordained a Teacher and then we celebrated with a bbq and volleyball with the Granum's.
Then later some family came over to eat cake and ice cream.

Boston was so excited to open his presents that morning {right before church} and eat his crepe
breakfast!

He got lots of football gear along with his cleats he has been wanting so bad.  But
what he was surprised about was his season pass to Park City resort that
he had no idea about!
He cannot wait to hit the slopes now!

It was a perfect day to celebrate my handsome boy...

the following day we took our family along with the Granum's to "Larry Miller raceway"
in Salt Lake to race Go karts and Zip line for Boston's birthday.
Hayes and Olivia weren't tall enough for the race carts {which was a bummer} but we enjoyed the
zipline and watching our boys race for a few hours!

the Race karts go 60 miles an hour.  After a few rounds Jenn and I jumped in and raced.
It was so much fun!

all the boys lined up and ready to go...

 Cory and Boston

this kid spent his birthday money on a Ukelele and he already knew 3 songs the
first day.  He is so quick to pick things up and has the passion to keep learning...
i could listen to him play all day.

my hayesie bugs wanted nothing to do with the zipline... even ivy went on it.
