Hayes & Olivia's Christmas Program...

...was at BYU and it is the cutest little program.  This year they totally performed and were front and center!  They sang the cutest songs and they even had their own little parts.

Hayes' favorite song is "i  like to be a drummer"  and he has been singing it all day and is SO loud.  It's hilarious.

Now we are out  for Christmas break... No school for 2 weeks!!  We are loving it!!

 I have loved reading all the comments from everyone on my post "Who are you?"  I love the blogging community and can't wait to spend some down time looking at all your blogs... it is so fun to actually see and know who is lurking around. Thanks for commenting!

my friend Jane did this a while back and it was so fun to see who was checking in on her blog... so i decided i want to know who's checking in on mine. I love meeting new people! I know this is the busy time of year to try it, but o well...

the elves came...

It's tradition in my house ever since i was little...

 that the Elves come and drop off a treat to the kids if their being good!

"Buddy" must have told Santa and the other Elves that the Taylor kids were being good this year, because they brought jammies!

Boston's Christmas program

Boston's program was last week and was so cute.  Each class did a skit to a song and I have to admit the Kindergarten class was the best... They did the Nativity with the Jr. Choir and sang "Who could imaginge a king" while Mary & Joseph were holding the baby Jesus... so ADORABLE!

 

Hansen "Cousins" Christmas Party...

Is one of my favorite parties.  We played the funniest game where the spouse was on the other side of this sheet and they had to show body parts {finger, nose, ear, toe etc..} and we had to guess if it was our husbands!  Haha  I only missed one!  It was hilarious... we always have a good time eating delicious hansen food and then playing the white elephant gift exchange...

                             

"The Princess and the Frog"...

pretty much the cutest disney movie.

we loved this one, and after the movie i asked my "new" little 5 yr olds what their favorite part was, and Olivia said "when they kissed" haha

seriously so cute, we can't wait to see it again...

"happy birthday" to you...

my babies are "5"...

i think we will always refer to them as our babies. they are so precious and little, that we can't help but baby them so much.

these two are hilarious! I love this age. i say this at every age i know.

this morning we made them their birthday breakfast of crepes with syrup and powdered sugar. then we sang to them about five times. haha

they have been busy playing with all of their presents and loving everything!

later we are going to have their favorite dinner and then off to boston's futsol game, then we will probably sing "happy birthday" again...

livi's asked me if she is old enough to go to high school now? ha

Livi's favorites~ princesses, polly pockets, arts & crafts, playing boston's DS, reading {on her own}, chocolate milk, school, cousins & friends.

and as always, remembering our special angel "parker" today and everyday in our hearts.

Pirates & Princesses... "the birthday party"

Guess who's "5"?

10 princesses, 12 pirates... crazy fun!

We had a fabulous birthday party for Hayes & Olivia. This was my first time "splitting" {kind of} them up with their parties.

~Pirates went right upstairs in the game room and got to Party with Cap n' jack sparrow, got some sweet Tattoo's, bandanas, eye patches, played some arcades and drank some bottled root beer and ate pirate booty & sword sandwiches... then they all went on a "Treasure hunt" to find their TREASURES. Cap n' jack had sword fights with all the boys! It was a BLAST!

~Princesses stayed downstairs while "Sleeping Beauty" told them stories of how she met Prince Phillip. She showed them how to dance with out falling... "Princesses never fall down"

While eating lunch with sleeping beauty {star & heart sandwiches, and princess fruit snacks} "Princess Aurora" gave a toast to all the little Princesses. showed them how to eat and drink like a princess.

then the girls got to "bedazzle" themselves with feathered boas, jewelry & Crowns. They danced some more and played games. It was so Perfect!

the atmosphere was totally different from upstairs with the boys to downstairs with the girls.

both equally Perfect...

then the pirates invaded the princesses and the girls got kind of scared of Jack Sparrow, but they sang "happy birthday" ate cupcakes and then they all meshed together!

Dear Santa...

Boston wants a "LG vu" cell phone & he said that's all he wants for the next 4 Christmases. haha

Hayes wants "Transformers", Olivia a princess polly pocket castle and baby Ivy wants a baby... {fake baby} haha

It's a tradition to get our picture with the "Real" Santa! We do it every year. Ivy actually Loved him. she was the first to go and sit up on his lap.

We dropped off our letters to Santa in the RED Mailbox at Macy's. Every letter you write and send in, Macy's will donate $1 to the "Make a wish Foundation" It is SO darling!

winter recital

The ever so talented Latu' family from Tonga represented the Winter Recital this year. Le'o our most amazing piano teacher was off to Texas to see her husband who just returned from Iraq and was stationed there for the next few months. We will miss her while she's gone, but she has plenty of talented siblings to take her place for a while.

Boston played "Cuckoo" and played it very well. He is my handsome little piano player.

Did i mention how much i love it, when Boys play the Piano.

I love it!

We had Nana & my niece Lauren come and support Boston.

Also it is always so fun for us, because Elder Holland and his wife are there with their grandkids who also take lessons from Le'o. We feel like we know them so well now.{wink}

he always says the cutest little comments to Boston.

a little tradition...

Last year we got this darling book. It comes with an elf that your family gets to name. We named our little elf "buddy." {real original i know}

You aren't supposed to touch him, because he will lose all his magic. Every night buddy goes back to the north pole and tells santa if we've been good. He then appears somewhere different every morning. Sometimes he is in the Christmas tree, the closet, pantry, etc...

he watches you all day and then reports to Santa at night.

Absolutely darling, and my kids LOVE this...

Well this morning we found "buddy" in the kitchen on the chandelier. He's so funny!

Dr. Hammond/Ellis Christmas party...

We have the Best Dentist EVER. Every year Dr. Hammond & Ellis throw a fabulous Christmas party...

I picked up the kids from school and we were off Ice skating at the Peaks arena. Dr Hammond & Ellis do this every year. We ate donuts and Hot chocolate, sat on Santa's lap and got pictures.

the kids loved skating and we dragged my niece Lauren to come play with us.

I was babysitting my nephew Brody {mindy's little guy} took 2 neighbor friends for Boston, and my own little gang. It looks crazy, but it turned out pretty fun, with a whole lot of happy faces!

This little one came skating too, and she did great just hanging out while we strolled her along all over the ice! When the kids weren't hanging on to the "Walker" they would hold on and skate on the side of the Stroller. I love how handy my stroller is.

after a while they were catching on and decided to use cones to skate with.

Pomanders

every year my friend jane gets the girls together for yummy food and socializing! It's one of my favorites. We get creative making "pomanders" and they smell so good. It's fun to see the ideas everyone comes up with. I somehow always do the same design every year. haha
