"dancing with the stars"

this little beauty is one of my talented nieces!! she is on "Dancing with the stars" on tuesday night's results show... be sure to tune in to abc at 7pm or set your Tivo's.

she and a few of her friends from the Vibe, were picked to dance.  She is such a hard worker and we are so proud of her.  She gets paid and also is tutored the days she is missing school!

Hoppy Easter...

Easter morning was so much fun... 

after my kids opened up their baskets, we made a yummy Crepe breakfast.  They were very entertained with the stuff in their baskets that they didn't even look for their eggs until the afternoon!  Which worked in our favor, since it had been "snowing" outside! 

Ivy was the first one up and was absolutely adorable.  she is my "candy" eater!

this truly is one of my favorite times of the year... conference weekend, the cadbury creme egg, warmer weather & "spring break"

The sun came out just around noon and dried up all the snow... Yahooo!

Hayes & Olivia were so cute looking for eggs.  Olivia got  the most and was  helping hayes look for some.  Then Boston overtook the egg hunt and introduced "trading eggs" haha  

he's such an older brother!

this little cutie kept dumping out her eggs and loved it! she was so much fun this year.

"B" strong 5k race

While my kids were at dance & soccer, i went and ran for bronson...

 It was cold at first but ended up being a perfect day to run outside!  It was so much fun to see all the attention that "little b" was getting, he was so adorable!

"glitter toes"

I kinda go back n forth with loving "glitter toes"  because it can be so rough on your toes, but then it is so durable and long lasting. I decided with children stepping all over my painted toes and scuffing them while wearing cletes in the house, {sigh}  I decided i needed some heavy duty stuff on my toes.

I took my little livi and met my sil Heather with her little lucy and we got ourselves some "glitter toes" this was what we did before the twins got their "Kindergarten shots" hoping to side track the event...

I love how Olivia knew just what she wanted!  Out of all the gorgeous glitter she picked "blue" kinda funny, but she LOVES them!

these two asked me to take their picture while they were looking at magazines waiting.  So stinkin cute!

Kindergarten shots...

boy was this quite the ordeal!

i am reminded a few years ago when Boston went to get his Kindergarten shots... My sil Jane and I thought it would be fun to have Brigham and Boston get their shots together.   Boy were we wrong!  haha

I am not kidding when i tell you that those boys were "kicking & screaming" literally throwing needles out the door.  Jane and I laughed so hard and couldn't believe we couldn't even pin our own kids down!  

It's one of my favorite memories of those two cousins!!

Hayes & Livi were Gems compared to Boston...

they knew what was coming and tried to be brave, because they are so excited to go to Kindergarten! 

after the shots & some sobbing, Olivia said to me "mom now can i go to Kindergarten, I stopped crying" {in her high soft sweet voice}  It broke my heart to tell her she has to wait all summer!

the eye test was adorable... After Olivia finished with hers she ran over to Shay {our fav nurse} who was asking Hayes "what shape is this?" and Livi would yell the answers to Hayes.  It was so funny!

they got to pick out a toy each & a DVD and then we had a lunch date together.  I love just spending time with these two.  Hayes is always just playing with his toys while Olivia is just chatting away to me in full detail of everything.  I hope i never forget these conversations.

"how to train your dragon"

This is one of my "All time Fav's" It was absolutely fantastic!

 I loved it and especially in 3D... some of the little ones said it was a little scary, but my 5 yr olds were fine.

After our movie we went to Ice cream at "maggie moo's"  which i heard is incredible!  Yep, everyones ice cream looked fantastic.  I didn't partake!

"easter eggs"

today was a perfect day to decorate eggs.

it's always a mess, but oh so fun!  This is where i wish i was more creative.  

This year we went with the brighter colors,  we love how they turned out.  Olivia loved, loved, loved getting all into it and decorating.  Hayes just liked to eat them and Boston was into  'writing' on the egg. {cursive} 

and ivy, well she was just a disaster, wanting to eat the glitter, tipping colors over, and dropping the eggs... so we shipped her off for a nap!

  Each year gets better and better.

My niece witney was asked to be one of the "young women" to sing at the "young womens general broadcast" on saturday night.   It was such an honor for her to be asked to do this, and she had a great experience.   We had tickets to go up and see her so i took another niece shae, her friend kenna and my friend Cynthia {who is also a YW president}  &  we enjoyed the wonderful talks,  especially President Uchtdorf's {my all time favorite talk from him} and then we went out to eat at "Zupa's" after!  It was such a fun night for me to spend with my nieces,

spring fever

it's that time of year again...

"SPRING FEVER"

we are being teased with beautiful sunny days where the kids our out playing with friends, riding bikes, rollerblading and loving it...and then the next day it's cold.

Utah spring is always unpredictible.


we can't wait to get out and play all summer!!

"legally blonde"

Last night some of my besties and I went up to Salt Lake to the Capital Theatre to see the broadway show

 "Legally Blonde"

I loved it! 

 It was very funny and entertaining!   I love the "bend & snap" scene.  Elle woods was amazing, her voice was just beautiful.  I can't believe i enjoyed it as much as i did. 

The music is still going in my head!

us girlies went out to eat at PF Changs & then rushed over right in time, it was kinda close. I haven't laughed so hard in a while, it felt wonderful.

conference packets..

I always print out cute little conference packets for my little kids for Conference sunday.  This one that I found is so darling.  I usually put little easter treats & crayons, colored pencils etc,  in a  ziploc bag and they get it on Sunday morning!

Happy birthday "grandpa hansen"

My kids are pretty spoiled in the "Grandparent" department.  

Especially "Great- Grandparents."

Not many people can say they knew their great grandparents, & my kids are so close to theirs.

Today we celebrated at Grandpa Hansens house with Cake and Ice cream to celebrate his "86th" birthday!  

Then of course we had to go check out the "two" new baby horses that were born yesterday.. 

Happy birthday to an absolute wonderful man, who has a legacy of many & we are so privileged to be a part of that...

Were here for a week for their 'Spring Break' and we had so much fun with them! We love when they come to visit.

We had great Utah weather for the first part of the week, then the kids were so excited to see "SNOW" for the last couple of days.  

I love watching all these kids do all their sweet tricks, they are seriously so good at backflips, tucks, aerials, etc, especially Brooke!  She was flipping and cartweeling everywhere we went, not just at Jump on it!

These girls were inseperable all week!!

They loved getting matching {kinda} princess jammies and having sleepovers in different rooms 

every night. 

On friday, we took both Todd & jane's family and our family up to the Canyons to ski for the day!  It was a whole lot of work.  but so much fun!  the little kids did pretty good, as long as we were staying by the "magic carpet."

Boston was so awesome at helping out his little brother.  We love hearing hayes tell us how he rips down the mountain.
