The San Diego temple is absolutely beautiful+
the gorgeous bride + the groom is very handsome + the best california weather =
a perfect and fabulous wedding!

congratulations lauren and david... now hurry back to BYU, we miss you!

we loved celebrating all week long and enjoying lots of family time.
my sister rachel did an awesome job planning everything from the temple to the
reception, luncheon, etc, etc.   she even flew out the wedding photographer who was fabulous.

johnson cousins... even taylor and nick were there. haha   they are currently serving
missions for our church.

lauren made the wedding video of her and david, and it was so darling.  the food was
delicious, and the candy counter was a huge hit for the kids! ha
my sister mindy caught the bouquet and my son Boston caught the bootninere. haha
the highlight of the night was the dancing!
SO. MUCH. FUN

i love brody's face {mindy's son} when she caught the boquet! hahaha
he loved that!

 twinner cousins!!

we have said goodbye too many times this summer to friends and family.  our last
farewell party was with cory's grandparents, Chrismom and Poppy who are in
their 90's moving to Reno!

i loved having my kids get to know these great grandparents and make fun memories
with them that i hope they will cherish and remember always.

this picture is priceless.  some of the taylor great grandkids!

Highland Fling

Highland city had their annual "Fling" and of course we were apart of it! ha
the kids saw the bounce houses and horses and we had to stop and play!
we ate delicious BBQ and honey butter scones.
i think next year we will
even run the race in the morning!

it was so much fun!

boston went with his friends and got wet from the water hose
that the fireman sprayed everyone with.  then they rode his bike to
'orange leaf' and then home.
he is now way to big for this stuff. {sniff sniff}

hayes and his buddy gavin {who we saw there} racing on the obstacle course.
he loved seeing his buddy there.

rugby.

Boston added a new favorite sport this summer...RUGBY!

he played all summer and had tournaments on saturdays.  The kid loved it and at practices they would have them run so many crazy drills and when he would come home he would ask me to go run with him.  seriously!!  you can't wear this kid out! haha
if you don't know the game of rugby very well you should know that they don't use helmets, pads or
any protective gear {except mouth guard} and so as a mom it's quite nerve racking.  oh and let me mention, half of his team and opponents are good sized polynesians!
but regardless, he loves this contact sport and played so good!
{were still trying to understand it}

Utah is quite the top spot for rugby, we have some really great teams out here and the coaching is fabulous! one of bostons favorite movies on netflix is 'forever strong'

now this boy is onto football practice every day and he loves every minute of it!

"especially for kids" camp

Pretty much the cutest "kids camp" ever!  my neighbor and her daughters put on the most
creative "EFK" camp.  hayes and livi couldn't wait for EFK to start!
this year  at EFK they made their own shirts and tie dyed them too.

they loved having their cousins join them this year.   on the last day they had
an alice in wonderland 'tea party' and i wish i would have had my camera.  it was gorgeous.
the table was set up so cute with treats and donuts.  and of course "Alice"
it was amazing.

each day had such a fun theme.  each day when they came home they
had all sorts of new things they made and did.  they were in heaven!

Mad Scientists
Mad Hatter's Party
Neverland and Peter Pan
Tom Sawyer's Adventures

when they were out in the front yard i tried to quickly take a pic.
they were learning how to milk cows.
they loved it!

pioneer day, Hansen campout!

for pioneer day weekend we took the kids camping with the hansen cousins!
we had a huge spot all to ourselves. camping with children is always a TON of work,
but they love it so much so i figured i better make this my one camping trip for the summer. ha

tasha and i even made tinfoil dinners that were
delicious and the kids fully enjoyed roasting
starburst and marshmellows.  have you ever roasted starburst??
um, it's AMAZE~ing!

thanks to aunt Charee, & aunt Cheer we all had a fabulous 'magelby's style' breakfast.
then up the mountain to enjoy some gorgeous hiking.   these trails are our favorite biking trails.

Boston took off with his older cousins.
i was just imagining that he was going to be on the news as one of the
lost scouts that you usually hear about.   good thing he has an amazing scout leader, he was just fine
and was at the campground waiting for us. wheeew!

we played some pioneer games with all the kids.  the game i was in charge of was the 'ice cold chest'   the kids had to stand in a cooler of ice and water {just like the pioneers who traveled through the sweet water rivers} and i timed them to see how long they could last.  the record was 3 min. 35 seconds.
everyone else could only handle 1 min.   it's very cold.
hayes and olivia lasted 30 seconds...

and my super competitive child boston, he could only handle 35 seconds. hahaha
he wouldn't have been the greatest pioneer.

'sack races'
this was very competitive with the adults. haha

 ok and the kids too.

my kids with grandpa and grandma hansen.
my kids are so spoiled with the best grandparents!  seriously these are their "great" grandparents.
such good troopers to come and hang out in the blazing hot sun!

i love pioneer day here in utah!  another fabulous holiday in july.
