Somewhere over the Rainbow...

Ivy celebrated her 4th birthday!!

I'm pretty sure i adored this party as much as my little 4 year old!  So much fun to plan 

and decorate for miss ivy's "Rainbow" party!

Ivy loved passing out her sucker invitations to her friends. 

it may have taken me a whole day, but i made the yummiest rainbow jello cups, 

along with a rainbow cake! 

Olivia was my awesome helper and she even helped me decorate this whole party! 

did i mention how much i love little girls!

i didn't even know until later how adorable her sign on the front door was.  she made the 

sign to tell everyone we were out back.  she may be a little party planning momma when 

she grows up.

I hired the most talented face painter EVER!  Denise from 'Painted Party' was fabulous. After ivy got

a rainbow butterfly painted on her face, all the girls followed suit.  she made each rainbow face totally different from the others, it was straight talent! we loved her!

I also hired the greatest balloon makers!  They were just as fabulous too!

after the girls got their face painted and cute balloons made, we played some 

games and ate some yummy treats.

 we had an absolute blast celebrating our baby girl!  I can't believe she is 4! she is definitely the life of our family, her personality is wild and fun!

she fell asleep early that night and slept straight through the night, we must have exhausted her! haha

when she woke up Cory and I asked her if she loved her party, and she

 said "I dreamed about it all night" 

that right there made all the work worth it!

Sliding Rock.

Labor Day was a blast!  We went with family and hiked up to Sliding Rock in Alpine!

the weather was still plenty hot, so it felt good to actually get in the cold water!

It's a naturally made waterfall here in our own stomping grounds!

i love how every year we do this, and David and Lauren always come along. 

Livi and Hayes went with David and Lauren and i even took my little Ivy down!

Boston went down a ton of times.  He loves it!

Ivy is Swimming...

We had the best summer swimming and watching the kids all do swim team.  It is crazy to me how 

Ivy thinks she needs to be doing the stuff they do.  She watches them jump off the diving board and thinks she is old enough too.  She does it with no problem at all.

the girl is a fish.  I would like to think it is because i put her in survival swimming with Pam Young, 

but i am pretty sure she just picked it up from watching the twins swim all summer long.

right when we left to our california vacation, Ivy decided to jump in the pool and swim all by herself.  She rocked it!  it was hilarious.  She even treads water all by herself.

back to school.

We enjoyed one last week of summer break in California!  It's always sad to say

 goodbye to summer, but i always look forward to a real schedule and my

 kids were so excited to start school and meet their teacher.

this is a big year for us!  Boston started a real Junior High. 7th Grade! ha!  

he was so excited to wear normal clothes. FINALLY!  

he loves Junior high and has some fun classes!

hayes and livi are 2nd graders and Adore their teacher.  She is fabulous.  I have been so 

lucky to get the best teachers for them every year! 

LOVE their school.

Little miss ivy started Pre school too!  She started out a little nervous but LOVES having 

a couple of her bff's in her class!  It is possibly the cutest preschool EVER! 

i absolutely love that they sit next to each other!

LA Bound...

It was an absolute blast supporting my cute niece Witney on SYTYCD!  

I got to go a few times, some 

were last minute and others were planned.  

We went with Cory's Aunt Pam and another time with my sister Rachel.

 We always had a blast.  My favorite place to eat is at Farmers Market at the Grove, 

I CRAVE their nutella banana crepes!  Seriously TO DIE FOR!

the shopping is fabulous and of course the company is always so fun!

we stayed at the cutest little hotel across the street from CBS studios and the Grove

  It's so Unique,  it's called "Farmers Daughter"

We went to the LIVE show and everytime I was there they literally sat us behind 

the Coreographers! So i was always on TV!  Got some minutes of fame! ha!

loved watching the show LIVE and loved seeing witney perform.  

She is so Amazing!  

She made top 3 girls, what an accomplishment!  We were at the show where she was voted

off, so we helped her pack up and we got to hang out with Eliana and Tiffany one night.

they were so cute, playing family feud together Every night!

such fun friends!

can't wait to see them on Tour!!

we all went out to eat after the show, and got to chat with Cyrus and of course the

 rest of the gang.  My kids love Cyrus so they thought that 

was so cool that i had a picture with him. haha!
