California Vacation...

We started off our family vacation to california with a quick pit stop in Las Vegas at our
favorite kid friendly resort 'Tahiti Village'.  Then off to the Hyatt Regency resort in
Huntington beach! It's our favorite resort right across from the beach.  They have a fun
kids club, lots of pools and waterslides and a lagoon of hot tubs.  the kids loved meeting up with
tons of our cousins there.  It was like we took over the resort with the Johnson family! ha!

Every day we played at the beach or the pool and made smore's at night by the bonfire.
my kids adore their older cousins and it was so fun hanging out with everyone.

My nephew Taylor was getting married in the Newport beach temple that following
saturday.  So Grandpa {by tradition} takes the kids to the temple to do baptisms.  It was
such a great experience.  The LA temple is where we met my brother Derek and his
family.  We got our own session, and the room was absolutley gorgeous.

As we were walking out, Elder Uchdorf was walking out.  He was there for his grandson's
wedding, and we loved that we got to see him!!

Crab hunting, always a hit at the beach!

my little mermaid...

the waterslides at the hyatt are amazing, and even ivy went on them all by herself.

LA temple with grandpa...

The boys loved playing beach volleyball or just body surfing the waves!
there were some HUGE waves too.

this picture cracks me up... this is just a few of us in one of the hot tubs.
 WE overtook the place!! haha!

no more training wheels...

It took Ivy 2 days of trying it out but she can officially ride her bike without
Training wheels!
Holy Cow, i couldn't believe she got it so fast! She's 4 yrs old and
swimming in the deep end all by herself and riding her bike.
This is a good summer for mybaby girl!
She's so proud of herself and is such a cutie pie.

Sad she is growing up so fast.  I just want to freeze time!

snowie time!

We hit the Motherload of Shaved ice!  It's TO.DIE.FOR!
It's called Hokulia and is seriously amazing!

this is just a kiddie size, they come HUGE!

CrossFit Kids...

This is my kids second year of Crossfit Kids! It is so awesome and a great little
workout 2x a week.  They love doing it and have a bunch of friends that do it with them.
first they stretch out and then they work on some strength, Handstands, burpees, etc...
then they follow up with a WOD and then play a fun game.  Ivy is doing it this year,
and surprisingly can totally keep up! I'm so proud of that girl.

Lindsay is so great with them and they get a real good
workout to top it off!

Summer schedule is off to a great start!

LAGOON!

We had an absolute blast at Lagoon with our cousins.  My sister Rachel was in Logan
at Jackie's baby blessing weekend and her and her girls and jackie and her kids met
mindy and I half way at Lagoon!

The kids were so awesome.  Addie & Wes loved being with their cousins.  Addie
wouldn't leave Olivia and Ivy!  She was in cousin heaven. haha!!
Olivia took her on most of the little kid rides. It was so cute.

Ivy was brave and rode the Bat!  it was so fun!
Olivia went on the Colossus 2X and went on mostly everything.  She's becoming
my adrenaline junkie child.
Hayes loved "Rattlesnake Rapids"
and Boston talked me and savy to go on Wicked! {which is wicked scary}

Before "Rattlesnake Rapids" {dry}

After {Soaked}  it was worth it, we were SO hot!!!

Of course you can't leave the park without playing in the fountain, especially when
it's SO freaking hot!!

Welcome 2 Summer...

We were thinking about doing our annual neighborhood party on the last day of school, but the
weather was kinda cold and chilly.  It wasn't warm enough {to me} for water activities.
So some of us decided to just go to the Alpine park and have a picnic and play Tennis,
Sand Volleyball and play at the splash pad etc.
To my surprise it wasn't crowded at all!!  Kids got out at 12:30 and
we headed straight to the park.

We played and played ALL DAY!!  Lately we've been obsessed with Volleyball, Witney and Jaxon showed up and we played Sand Volleyball with us.  Boston hasn't really played before, just a few times
and he has been playing non stop and getting really good.  We've even set up a volleyball net in our backyard.  We have nightly games and tournaments.  It's hilarious how good they've gotten.
Hayes and Livi even serve the ball and get it over the net.

We've pretty much been partying every day since... nightly BBQ's with cousins, graduation parties,
Witney's home and David and Lauren are staying with us for a few days.  We're loving summer break!!!

memorial day!

We had a fun filled memorial day!  The kids were so excited to go to Parker's
grave.  The cemetery was SO beautiful.  I can't ever describe the beauty of the cemetery on
Memorial day, but it is unbelievable.  Flowers are everywhere, and so many people visiting
their loved ones.  It's just beautiful.

My kids run right up to his grave and were so excited to give him flowers and a pinwheel.
they are so angelic about their brother, they think of him all the time and
always ask if they can say a prayer.  They are so lucky to have him as
their guardian angel.  what a blesssing to know that we are an
Eternal family.

they wanted a picture of the "Triplets"... this pulls at my heartstrings!

then the boys went golfing at Alpine Country Club and we went swimming with our cousins.
they had a huge BBQ going so we all ate a yummy lunch with some ice cream cones!
Ivy swam the whole time we were there in the deep end{without her floatie.}
she is swimming so good.
She decided she was brave enough for the diving board now.

Then later that afternoon we headed over to the Taylor's for some more BBQ-ing and playing with
the Taylor cousins.  Papa had his dune buggy out and Brigham and Boston were driving
 everyone all over the place.  {they secretly love this job}

as if we needed one more thing to do, the kids suggested "Hang Time" to end the night!
luckily no body was their and they got plenty of Dodgeball time in.  I love watching Brigham and
Boston do tricks  they are ridiculously coordinated!!

then we had to hit up Krispy Kreme.  I think the day was successful!
